If the device is stored for many years, is there a possibility that the battery could self-discharge and shorten its lifespan?
This is possible but it completely depends on the storage condition. For long life storage, the loggers must be unsealed and stored under certain temperatures and humidity conditions. Axzon has done careful research and due diligence to create specific storage recommendation guidelines.
