What states are there other than Sleep and Standby modes?
If the state is other than Sleep or Standby, the BAP SELECT command will enable BAP mode for 8 seconds (this time is configurable). In this BAP mode the tag listens to RF commands. Therefore this mode can be used to enhance read range any time while waiting for the FingerSpot, during logging and when logging is finished as long as the battery is not depleted. Another special internal BAP mode is enabled for a few milliseconds when the tag "wakes up" to perform a logging event. This BAP mode has the highest priority and supersedes any other activity in the tag. During this BAP mode the tag doesn't listen to RF commands. If there is an RF command going on when the tag "wakes up" it will stop talking back to the reader and interrupt the RF command sequence, it doesn't "pause" the RF command so that logging is never skipped.
